The story of German-American singer/songwriter Michael Lane begins in Nuremberg in 1986. He was born there to a German mother and a US GI. After the family moved to Wisconsin in 1993, he joined the US Army at the age of 20, which deployed him to the Iraq War for 15 months and later to Afghanistan. It was this experience that made him realize his true calling as a musician.
