Equipped only with a plectrum and a western guitar, Olaf Sickmann spent two days in the recording studio “Mühle der Freundschaft”, a 300-year-old watermill near Osnabrück, to record his seventh album “New Living Room”.
The result is 17 solo compositions, inspired on the one hand by Irish music and baroque sounds, and on the other hand, Olaf Sickmann rightfully earns the title he received from an enthusiastic concertgoer: "Master of Flowing Playing." His clear, unison, and technically perfect lines create an almost hypnotic effect, giving the music a very special touch.
