In the 15th year of the band's existence, the fake Italians from Osnabrück are releasing their eighth studio album with the mysterious title "Città dei sogni" (City of Dreams).
Ombre di Luci has changed stylistically somewhat: folk music plays a less prominent role this time. Instead, the songs captivate with their catchy melodies and captivating rhythms. The band skillfully blurs the boundaries between Latin, bar jazz, pop, world music, gypsy, chanson, and country.
Thematically, the album is about searching and finding, leaving and arriving, dreams and illusions. Milanese-born Giovanni Armanni was once again commissioned to write the Italian lyrics.
