It wouldn't be surprising if the term "Fake Italians" were to find its way into the dictionary someday: Since 1997, Ombre di Luci—five Germans who could easily have come from Siena—have been causing a sensation in the German acoustic music industry. In reality, the quintet is based in Osnabrück, Lower Saxony—a city that the travel magazine "Merian" describes as having a marketplace with a Mediterranean character. It was there, in a small pizzeria, that the spontaneous idea to present Italian songs in a completely new way was born at Vino e Pasta. “Der Blütenbert and other songs” is an album about the 2010 State Garden Show in Bad Essen.
