“Pax Nicholas and the Ridimtaksi” is an 11-piece band from Berlin, which plays classic and modern Afrobeat with a good portion of soul and funk under the experienced bandleader and showman Pax Nicholas (aka Nicholas Addo-Nettey) from Ghana. The collaboration of professional musicians from Berlin and West Africa in this project guarantees captivating grooves and a perfect show. Ridimtaksi has been active in this formation since 2008 and has performed in recent years at Berlin venues such as Pfefferberg, Acud, Bar 1000, and in October 2010 as the opening act for Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings (Daptone) at Huxle's. The repertoire consists of original compositions by Nicholas Addo-Nettey and highlights from Fela Kuti's Afrika 70 program.
