PEACE HILL are launching their new album this year. Their music is a wild mix of rock, pop, country, and punk, paired with unabashed self-irony. They quickly agreed: the joint album should be titled after the song of the same name, "Love, Peace & Rock 'n' Roll." These are precisely the three things that connect their music and their friendship.
In addition to classic rock and pop songs, the album also features punk, folk, and ska elements, a trucker song, and a Mallorcan ballad. While their mostly German lyrics may well be meaningful, unabashed fun is always the top priority for the Osnabrück band, and so PEACE HILL also tackle socially critical topics with great ease.
PEACE HILL was founded about 20 years ago as a classic rock band at Friedenshöhe in Hasbergen. In addition to the conventional lineup of drums, bass, guitar, and vocals, the four musicians also perform with acoustic guitars, violin, and double bass. After many years of musical experience, Peace Hill has developed a stylistically distinctive and highly diverse sound, characterized primarily by the powerful vocals of frontman Daniel Niemann. Other musicians include André Kopka (guitar, bass, violin), Lars Bonowski (drums, double bass), and Markus Bertram (guitar, bass).
The new album was produced by Matthias “Matze” Lohmöller in the DocMaKlang recording studio.
