Under Water – Above Skies... ...is dedicated to the enchanting sounds of the handpans. The overtone spectrum of the handpans was used to create an exciting connection between these fascinating steel instruments and string, wind, and plucked instruments. The result is a vivid musical language between handpan and cello. The flugelhorn and bass clarinet give the album a jazzy touch. Jazz and acoustic guitar complete the overall sound. The classic lineup of drums, bass, and guitar is present, as are unusual percussion instruments such as the bata, waterphone, and even the 110 cm Wuhan gong. A musical counterpoint to turbulent times.
