See-Land - Splitter (CD)

SEE-LAND has set itself the goal of placing the return of beauty at the forefront of music listening. It is based on an understanding of culture that is not sublime, but rather intended to enrich people by lifting them above their everyday monotony—in short: music that does something to the listener. Beauty requires  - so that it becomes visible - but always also of rupture, be it lyrically or compositionally. Thus, this music, with its substantial texts, is always characterized by an interplay between aesthetics and deconstruction, between uplifting depth and formless attitude.
SEE-LAND is a music project by Martin Deville. The music is perfectly embodied by the wonderful voice of singer Esther-Marija Stemmer.
