Rock 'n' roll is dead? Think again! With roots deep in the hard rock of the 70s and 80s, the Steve Link Band delights with freshly imported, clean guitar rock 'n' roll. Strongly inspired by his idols Gary Moore and Status Quo, Steve Link and his band impress as a songwriter with clear guitar riffs and lyrics that stick in your head with catchy lines that immediately encourage you to sing along and dance. Band founders and namesakes Steve Link, Martin Huke, Jörg Rosenberg, and Ulli Schober have been playing together in this band since 2015.
In their first season, they rocked various open-air festivals in Lower Saxony, getting the audience dancing and singing. They used the winter months of 16/17 to produce their first album at Kai Schwerdtfeger's Echolane Studios, which they have now released via Timezone Records Osnabrück. None other than Don Airey (keyboardist for Deep Purple) also graced three songs from the current album – "When," "The One," and "Welcome The Sun" – with his magnificent Hammond organ playing.
The Steve Link Band perfectly bridges the gap between commercial pop music and hard rock. Classic rock at its finest! Fresh and contemporary!
