The long-standing, loose collaboration of the four jazz musicians in changing line-ups, through numerous joint concerts and projects since 2014, led to the desire to compile their work on a CD. Like four different springs that merge into one river, Stream combines individual musical experiences, ideas, and compositions into a unified whole. Their stream.
Stream's compositions range from sensitive ballads to almost groovy rhythms with intricate themes and sound structures, repeatedly linked by improvisations that promise further development in the live concert. Although Stream is a classic jazz quartet, familiar focuses and tasks dissolve and shift between the instruments. Stream dedicates its debut album, "Speechless," to singer Susanne Drerup-Christenhuß, who passed away in 2017 and with whom they performed several times as a quintet in 2014.
