It is this fine line that the young alternative rock band SUMMERY MIND around front singer Lari manages to walk: It is a harmonious connection between hard, metal-influenced rock sound and sensitive and melodic – not to say poppy – vocals that SUMMERY MIND create, without falling into the old established clichés of these two pop music poles, as so often happens.
Belonging is their follow-up to their debut album, made possible by a successful crowdfunding campaign. Musically and lyrically, the album is like a mirror for the band, reflecting on their history to date. Belonging is a point of view that shows where the band has already reached on their young journey. And it's a decision to resolutely continue down this path and adhere to their goals and values.
Belonging is the psychoanalysis that doesn't mean to be. It's close to the band's lives and tells of decisions that must be made, of loss and disillusionment (The Realist), of moments when you're close to giving up, and of the certainty that all these disillusionments are worth it for the joy and hope (Ablaze) that come with living out your passion (One Dedication).
