View from above – the new and second album by this band around Susanne Menzel & Klaus Ignatzek captivates with the incredible depth of the music and the interplay of all participants. The "view from above" or the perspective on things and situations, often viewed from a healthy distance. These five musicians have grown together musically, as well as in their friendship. The "Song for my brother" – a homage to Klaus Ignatzek's brother – tells of the warm togetherness and interplay between two fundamentally different brothers. View from above – sometimes it helps to let go and be carried away, towards something new. All of the lyrics on the album were repeatedly written by Susanne Menzel, and Klaus Ignatzek composed all 10 pieces on this CD. The compositions are very diverse and varied and create the basis for extraordinarily interesting, virtuoso music withprofound improvisations. Susanne Menzel and Klaus Ignatzek have found congenial partners for their music in Florian Trübsbach (sax), Sven Faller (bass), and Christian Schoenefeldt (drums).
