View from Above – the new and second album from this band led by Susanne Menzel and Klaus Ignatzek captivates with the incredible depth of its music and the interplay of all involved. It's a "view from above," a perspective on things and situations, often viewed with a healthy distance. These five musicians have grown together musically, and also in their friendship. "Song for My Brother" – a homage to Klaus Ignatzek's brother – tells the story of the warm connection and interplay between two very different brothers. View from Above – sometimes it helps to let go and be swept away, towards something new. All the lyrics on the album are written by Susanne Menzel, while Klaus Ignatzek composed all ten tracks. The compositions are diverse and varied, forming the basis for exceptionally interesting, virtuosic music with profound improvisations. Susanne Menzel and Klaus Ignatzek have found congenial partners for their music in Florian Trübsbach (sax), Sven Faller (b) and Christian Schoenefeldt (dr).
