The style of SVOZ & B de PronX's debut album, PURE LOVE, is characterized by danceable electronic music, composed with sounds from unusual instruments, digital sound generators, and loops, meticulously processed on a digital audio workstation. The individual songs are powerful yet playful and sensitive. The driving beats and staggered arpeggios with embedded vocals are followed: the lyrics are spiritually heartfelt.
The album's overall mood is based on the natural tuning of 432 Hertz. The artists' careers reveal the underlying idea: The two have been working together since 1999, and by 2012, they had created 25 choreographies with the contemporary dance company SonusDos, which were performed on major stages and at festivals across Europe. Authenticity is the underlying theme, running through the entire work. Svoz composed the music for the dance pieces.
B de PronX's voice played a key role in the performances. Since the dance performances faded away, the creative focus has shifted entirely to music. The search for original sounds led to self-made instruments such as monochords, percussion instruments, modified rainmakers, and a lataphon. The exploration of overtone singing and mantras, as well as research into the influence of sound and music on the human body, led to sound journeys and meditations. These developments, coupled with Svoz's fascination with digital sound processing and his work as a DJ, form the basis of the album's 10 tracks.
B de PronX's vocals lean towards the pop genre, but the experimental approach shines through again and again. Pure Love was born out of a love of creating, inventing, and making. Svoz & B de PronX complement each other as artists, creating a musical world that, on the one hand, aspires to be pop, but is also danceable and suitable for a club, yet still strives to remain special and authentic. Listening reveals the diversity, depth, and sophistication of the compositions. This way, the music can be not only heard, but also experienced. The audiophile standard stems from experiments with tape recordings, comparisons with sophisticated analog recordings, and mixes of rock, pop, and jazz. And yet it is and remains electronic music through and through, as organic and vibrant as the digital process allows, and as powerful and detailed as electronic production makes possible.
