Since 2017, Regensburg songwriter TG COPPERFIELD has been releasing one great album after another at a dizzying pace. "Talkin' Shop" is his seventh release and takes everything he's done before to the next level. With his first-class ELECTRIC BAND, Copperfield unleashes a firework display of catchy beats and timeless songs in the style of the early 7s, a time that left a lasting impression on the accomplished guitarist. Americana meets pop, hard rock meets hip hop, and above all, hovers the attitude of rock and roll, for which critics and fans alike love Copperfield so much. Like the soundtrack that Quentin Tarantino never released, this EP is addictive and transports the guitar hero into the modern age. Modern blues sounds like "Suckers & Crooks," and Copperfield brilliantly paints the play of light and shadow in "On Your Own." "Hammer Down" is a crazy hybrid of Game of Thrones lyrics with a Mexican influence, while "Line of Fire" conveys classic Tom Petty Copperfield magic. "Survive It" builds from cool nonchalance to a grand finale of fuzz guitar fireworks. "Caught in the Middle" delves deep into the 90s era of Blade Runner, and the finale, "The Commuter," exudes sheer trepidation. "Talkin' Shop" cements TG COPPERFIELD's status as an unmistakably independent artist who can be trusted to achieve a lot in the future, simply because he sticks his nose to the wind and listens to his inner compass.
