Around ten years after the 2006 release of their debut album The Last Goodbye Is Not Always The End, the new album by the indie band project The Nouve will be released in spring 2016.
Under the programmatic title Greatest Hits, mastermind and songwriter Robert Nouve has once again invited highly qualified guests to create eleven highly remarkable and catchy song gems with him.
Stylistically, the album ranges from the broad spectrum typically found in Nouve's work, from anthemic rock to sophisticated indie pop, references to the sound aesthetics and energy of punk, wave, and underground, to intimate ballad-like moments with catchy pop melodies and intelligent lyrics—in short, the mix for which Nouve once coined the specific genre of depressive pop. Sonically, the whole thing was refined by the mixing of John Agnello and the mastering of Scott Hull, both recognized experts in their field and with a list of exceptional achievements in the music business too long to list here.
Despite, or perhaps because of, the completely analogue and musically intense sound, comparisons with the early works of bands such as New Order, The Cure, Nick Cave or the Sisters Of Mercy will accompany the listener throughout the entire album.
