All of this is embodied by the Dortmund rock band the Tierheims, which formed in its current lineup shortly before the outbreak of the pandemic in March 2020 (it couldn't have been at a worse time!). The Tierheims exclusively produce their own songs, and one could argue that they are a highly versatile, brutally honest, yet atmospherically melodic combo. But actually, the Tierheims prefer to be called a completely normal rock band, without any fancy dress, yet still with a love of detail.
Thanks to the innate playfulness and the diverse experience of the band members (over 100 years of stage experience!), a cool mix of rock, punk and alternative was created in the Dortmund animal shelter, and titles such as Talking to Trees and Assheads followed.
During the lockdown, they felt like a cornered cat who wanted to play, but had to settle for all sorts of streaming concerts, smaller venues with small audiences, and radio promotions (WDR2, best band in the West in May 2021).
The cornered cat known as the Tierheims then demonstrated their skills at five concerts in just two days at the legendary fantasy festival Annotopia in October 2021. The recently released album of the same name, "Cornered Cat," continues the cat's brilliant escape from the corner. They're sure to catch more than just fat mice!
