The Tommy Schneller Band's new album, "Backbeat," will be released in February 2016. With the pre-release single "Arschkalte Art," Schneller supports the documentary film project "Newcomers" by Syrian refugees and artists Anis Hamdoun and Maan Mouslli. The song calls for more humanity and togetherness and denounces the selfishness that permeates our society in a "Arschkalte Art" manner. 100 percent of the proceeds from the sale of the song will go to the film project, which aims to raise awareness about the migration situation in Germany and allay fears. Schneller's label, Timezone Records, is supporting the project. "The song is perfect for supporting such a project and speaks to my heart. I get in a bad mood and angry when I see how the victims of the war here are portrayed as perpetrators or potential perpetrators by fearful or even ignorant people," says Tommy Schneller. "The opportunity to stimulate thought with a film about refugees and their situation in schools, etc., fascinates and motivates me. I see this as a great opportunity and necessity to achieve change and rethinking," the artist continued.
