"Personality Standards Vol. 1" is the first milestone in Michael Gudenkauf and Eike Wulfmeier's collaborative project, dedicated to discovering and exploring one's own musical personality. Along the way, they will encounter some of Europe's most renowned jazz musicians. Their first visit will take them to the exceptional Dutch guitarist Jesse van Ruller, who, among other things, is the first European recipient of the Thelonious Monk Award. The band is completed by drummer Christian Schoenefeldt. The first milestone, the album "Personality Standards Vol. 1," is presented today. The band consists of four excellent musicians who play improvised music in the best sense of the jazz tradition. The focus is not on the compositions, but rather on the basis of extensive improvisations by these four unique musical personalities.
