Werner Vogt is certainly no longer a young whippersnapper; for many years he's been performing in clubs and on stages across Germany with various bands in a wide variety of popular music styles. INCI, his second CD under his real name after "Rock 'n' Roll Denkmal," is a testament to this experience and calm approach to rock and pop. Twelve songs, composed from start to finish and stylistically consistent, totaling more than 50 minutes of music, are collected on the CD and are waiting to be heard.
His German lyrics are of the finest quality and could easily be the subject of a poetry seminar. His songs, wrapped in a densely woven instrumental framework by guitarist Mickey Meinert and keyboardist Achim Meier, aren't commercial in the true sense of the word, but they immediately embed themselves in the ear canals upon first hearing, and their stirring messages not only touch the heart but also linger in the so-called neural networks of the brain. Overall, an album for fans of the German language and of high-quality popular music.
