"Everyone come! Are you coming with me?" - "Töf! I want to attack one of them, move on to the other, then I'll get the devils!"
Old Alke must have been quite astonished when he and his inn suddenly sank into the ground, leaving nothing but a deep hole in its wake. If only he hadn't been so greedy, Alke wouldn't have had to eke out an existence as a demonic wagon wheel—cursed for eternity. Farmer Grumfeld saw it with his own eyes when he challenged the burning wheel to a race for a few pieces of silver. Entire generations in the Osnabrück region have passed down how it ended in the "Alkensage," and Wippsteert recounts it in her song "Alke" from her new album "An un' för sück."
The limited edition "Alke" box set comes with "An un' för sück" on CD, including the single "Alke," a beautifully designed Wippsteer beer mug with coaster, and a print of the Alke legend. But let the fire wheel on the tankard be a warning! Don't end up like the greedy innkeeper and his tavern.
