The picturesque Münsterland region – endless expanses. And in the middle of it all, three young guys armed with their guitars and angelic voices have set themselves one goal: to make this dreary and gray world a better place. The living room musicians, or Womuka for short, aka Jan, Christoph, and Julian, take you on a passionate journey. Their motivation: women, beer, and pogo sit-downs. This inflammatory mix of songwriting, punk, and pop inspires laughter, head-shaking, and unrhythmic clapping. The topics addressed by these self-deprecating seat-cushion lovers are as diverse as life itself.
From anorexic sumo wrestlers to manta rays to hated ex-girlfriends, there's something for every taste. Between the rough acoustic guitar riffs and the pulsating beats of the cajon, the fresh lyrics may not always seem ethically or morally correct or flawlessly rhymed, but they are thoroughly honest. The audience can prepare for a bubble bath of emotions, full of brains, heart, and humor. Even your grandma's living room will instantly become a festival stage, and Womuka will become your new favorite band. The trio will release their debut album in fall 2018 and take it to living rooms across the country on their subsequent tour.
